Read moreAFP side-seam drip tape is available with 10 cm and 20 cm outlet spacing. Both models have a 1000.5 m roll length, 200 micron thickness and 9.5 kg roll weight, and are one continuous piece. Water flow is 2.5–3.5 L/h for the 10 cm model and 3–5 L/h for the 20 cm model. Both models have the same price; the final price is confirmed in the pro forma invoice.
Drip tape is a flexible, thin-walled irrigation line that delivers water along crop rows. Its performance and potential water savings depend on hydraulic design, filtration, soil, water quality and operation; no fixed water-saving percentage is guaranteed. Suitability for a crop or greenhouse must be checked for the selected model.
Water passes through the flow paths or emitters and is released along the crop row. The side-seam model described here has 20 cm spacing. Spacing, discharge, pressure regulation and filtration must be selected together; the same specifications must not be assumed for emitter tape or other products.

Side-seam tape uses a flow path at the edge; emitter tape uses separate drippers. Select by the actual model specification and hydraulic design. An emitter model is not automatically pressure-compensating or suitable for every slope and line length.

More details are on the drip tape features and characteristics page. You can also see the product quality test results in our quality control lab.

The current 20 cm side-seam model has a stated length of 1000.5 m, weight 9.5 kg and package dimensions 34 × 25 × 25 cm. These figures apply to this model only. Confirm the roll length, weight and discharge of emitter tape separately before ordering; other roll sizes are not implied here.
The current side-seam model has a 200 micron wall. Do not treat older 175 micron or other thickness ranges as available options without confirmation. Choose the model using soil conditions, crop layout, water quality and technical advice. Thickness alone does not establish suitability for stony ground, a longer service life, or subsurface installation.

The final price depends on the selected model and confirmed quotation. The basis of sale and final price inquiry is the roll; the payment amount and currency are agreed in the pro forma invoice.
Illustrative calculation, not a crop-spacing recommendation: tape length = 10,000 ÷ tape spacing in meters. Whole-roll counts below use the stated 1000.5 m roll and are rounded up. Assumes one tape per row over a full planted hectare, before allowances for paths, headlands, offcuts and spare material. Confirm the final layout and quantity.
Also include three other cost items in the budget for one hectare: fittings and accessories (layflat or polyethylene pipe, branch valves, disc or screen filters, connectors), which make up a significant share of the initial investment; installation and labor costs for laying the tapes properly; and seasonal maintenance costs, including flushing the lines and clearing clogs. Sunlight resistance for the current side-seam tape is listed for one crop season. A second season is not guaranteed. Actual condition depends on installation, water, sunlight and handling; warranty coverage is limited to the stated first-irrigation seam condition.
The side-seam product lists pressure tolerance up to 2 atmospheres. This is not the recommended continuous operating pressure. Confirm the setting for the chosen model and hydraulic design, and use suitable pressure regulation and monitoring.
For a full hectare, length equals 10,000 divided by tape spacing in meters. At 0.60 m this is about 16,667 m, or 17 whole 1000.5 m rolls; at 1.50 m it is about 6,667 m, or 7 rolls, before extra allowances. These spacings are calculation examples, not agronomic recommendations.
Side-seam tape has an edge flow path; emitter tape has separate drippers. Pressure compensation, slope suitability and maximum line length depend on the actual emitter model and hydraulic design, not on the name alone.
The selected model, thickness, emitter spacing, stated roll length and quantity affect the quotation. Sale and final inquiry are per roll, with payment amount and currency agreed in the pro forma invoice.
There is no single verified maximum line length for every model. It must be calculated from discharge, pressure, elevation, tape dimensions and the allowed variation in delivery.
The side-seam model described here has 20 cm emitter spacing. Confirm any other spacing and model separately; select spacing using soil, crop layout and irrigation design rather than a universal rule.
Confirm the selected model’s suitability for the greenhouse layout. Do not assume this product is approved for buried installation: subsurface use requires specific technical confirmation and a suitable system design.
